I am someone that likes to have the perfect name for each and every animal I take in. The first kitten I ever owned (who I only owned for 4 days before she died) it took me 3 days to name. It took us 2 weeks to name miss Lola. And when we adopted Ranger we decided that because we have such a hard time with names, we wouldn't change his. Mona took us a week to name. Pedro and Vaquero, 3 or 4 days. Flaca's name changed twice over the course of 6 weeks before we stuck with Flaca. It took us weeks to pick the registered name for So So Worth It and we debated for a couple of months on what to name Da Ladies Man and Da Money Man.
So needless to say, picking a name for our little baby girl is taking us a long time. It's the most important name we will have picked together thus far. We started talking names when I first found out I was pregnant. But because SO was so convinced he could only throw boys, we mostly talked boys names.
I've known for over a month now we're having a girl and we have been tossing around names like crazy. Some, I have no idea where he gets them. Like "Vivian". I hear that name and I think hooker. Like from Pretty Woman. No hooker names for our baby, thank you very much!
Yesterday we decided to narrow it down to our 3 favorites and then when baby girl is born we can pick out of our top 3 to which name suites her best. Right now we have 2 and still have to come up with a third that we agree on. No matter what her first name is, her middle name will be June, after my great grandma.
I guess it's a good thing we have 3 1/2 months left to figure it out because we're going to need every single day of it. Not only do we have to love the name, but it has to be something baby girl will grow up with and not hate as she gets older.
